Jagr gone, carle gone, omg how could homer let them all walk?......everybody including the flyers top writer tim p. with all due respect to the legend this is not a time for panic and question Paul Holmgren. w5.5 why should the flyers pay Matt Carle 5.5 million per season for 6 years?

Why rush a good young team

I don't see why everybody wants the flyers to get parise, nash, ryan, or even re sign carle, his cost will be much highier than his worth, he is at best a 4th defenceman. There is a fine line between a 3rd and a 4th, a 3rd guy can carry a lesser talented player(which would be a 5 or 6), carle cannot do this for 82 games then 16-24 possible grueling playoff games.
