The Ottawa Pledge

I'm just listening to Chuck Swirsky on the Fan590, and I hear about this pledge that Toronto's Mayor David Miller, Vancouver's Mayor Sam Sullivan, and Calgary's Mayor Dave Bronconnier, is creating to make Leaf fans, Canucks fans, and Flames fans root for the Senators during this Stanley Cup Finals.
This is absolutely ridiculous! If your a fan of the Leafs you are NOT rooting for the Sens not matter what they bribe you with (in this case Game 6 tickets). As a true Blue, Leaf fan I will not only be not signing the pledge, but I will burn one of them if I get my hands on it (maybe put it on youtube).
I honestly can't believe they are doing this, I feel betrayed by my own Mayor for the fact that he's cheering for one of our arch foes. This WOULD NOT happen if the Leafs were in the finals. No, instead they'd make a pledge to root for the other team.

I just had to complain about that, I just find that not right.

Yeah, even though the Ducks have a ton of Canadian born guys, screw them. Nothing like a little Xenophobia to go with your Wheaties.
I can kinda see it being Canada's game and national pride and all but still I think this takes it a bit far. Will every city in Canada throw their own celebration and parade for Ottawa winning the cup? I dont think so
Total BS...As if Ottawa fans would cheer for the Leafs...Nice Try Miller. As soon as Ottawa wins the cup, they would rub it in the Leaf fans faces. I bet they would even wait to raise the banner and get their rings until the Leafs come to town. GO DUCKS GO!!!!!
I tell you if I lived in Toronto (I live just outside) I would have problems voting for him now. When your the mayor of Toronto, I think the LAST thing you should do is alienate yourself from Leaf fans
