Where Did Hockey Season Go?

OK, so I leave on this ridiculously long business trip 3+ weeks ago sitting on top of the world. The Sabres had just dispatched the Rangers and were about to face the Sens (hind sight being 20/20, I wish it was New Jersey). Fans in Buffalo were crazed. You couldn't walk into a store without seeing a huge display of Sabres logo merchandise for sale.
Stop 1: Las Vegas
Games 1 & 2 were played while I was in Las Vegas. My boss called and had me lay a sizeable wager for him on the Sabres in game 2. Thank God he paid me back. Without telling me, the guy I was there with put $100 on the Sens. Jerk.
Stop 2: Venice, Italy
To say there's little hockey coverage in Venice would be a huge understatement. If it weren't for my blackberry I'd have no clue that the Sabres also dropped game 3.
Stop 3: Geneva, Switzerland
Truly an international city, you can do anything from anywhere around the world in Geneva....except watch hockey. Oh I'm sure there's somewhere the locals go to get a dish feed of the games (Is Versus available in Europe? Is it available anywhere?) My loyal friend blackberry advised me that the series ended in 5. There was also a story about Zubrus being injured, but no specifics.
Stop 4: Paris, France
By this point my boss and I were both pretty grumpy. He was happy that he didn't have to buy Finals tickets, but that merely offset the bundle he lost on game 2. We had a great time visiting the white flag factory.
Finally home, there's no sign that hockey was ever even played here, except for the display of discounted Sabres logo merchandise at the bock of aisle 13 at Wegman's. Where did hockey season go?
