With the trade deadline fast approaching, the Ryan Malone trade rumors are starting to heat up. For a player with size, soft hands and a knack for going to the net, Malone’s offensive totals should be much greater than they currently are. In fact, it could be argued that Malone’s effectiveness on the ice is at an all-time low. Since arriving in Tampa Bay from Pittsburgh, Malone has been on the decline. His goal totals have gone from 26, to 21, to 14 and finally to 10 so far this year. Of course, injuries play a role, but for a guy with everything you could possibly want in a power forward, 30 goals should be the expectation, not the goal...
