It’s a quiet night in the NHL tonight with only two games on the schedule. One of those games has a huge impact on the Bolts as they move forward. The Washington Capitals are taking on the Carolina Hurricanes tonight in a game that will have huge playoff implications for many other teams. If the Capitals win, it’s another two points to make up. If the Capitals lose, the Lightning, and many other teams, step into the driver’s seat. Imagine if the Capitals lose tonight and the Lightning win tomorrow; we could be in a really tight race.
Tomorrow night’s tilt against the Anaheim Ducks is the last game of a 4 game home stand for the Lightning. Sitting at 2-1 thus far, the Lightning are facing a real swing game here. Win the game and they find themselves with a very respectable record of 6-3-1; lose the game and mediocrity will start to take its toll. The Lightning are currently 6 points back of the 8th place Toronto Maple Leafs with a game in hand. The gap isn’t that great. This week is going to be incredibly important with a game against the Ducks and one against the Jets. In fact, this is a SEASON SHAPING week. Let’s take a look at some pregame notes.

I'll be at the game and be a believer again in playoff chances if the Bolts win(and the Hurricanes as well!) Go Bolts!!!! Lets hope the "character team" shows up for the game.
It should be a great one to be at, that's for sure! The Ducks are mighty exciting to watch. This season may not be lost yet.
