Flyers give fans plenty to cheer

As the clock wound down in the waning seconds of the game, the crowd at Wells Fargo Center rose to their feet.
It wasn’t an uncommon occurrence on Thursday night, but it was the final time that they had the chance to do so.
They planned to enjoy every moment of it.
With their Philadelphia Flyers leading the Florida Panthers by a score of 5-0, it proved to be the perfect time for the crowd to show the home team how much they appreciated the dominating effort.
They also wanted to praise the team’s starting goaltender, Ilya Bryzgalov.
As the remaining seconds ticked down to zero, the final horn concluded Bryzgalov’s second shutout victory in his last three games.
That wasn’t the only reason the fans erupted into cheers; the shutout was the first time in almost two years that they had the chance to view a shutout victory on Wells Fargo Center ice.
The last occurrence came during the Flyers 2010 playoff run.
