Buffalo wants Doan to replace Vanek

According to a Twitter hockey insider there is a possibility of Darcy Regier going after Shane Doan to possibly replace Thomas Vaneknif he's used in a trade which looks like it would be for Paul Stastny. Buffalo has talked to Doan's agent and has also had multiple talks with the Avalanche. In my eyes, Buffalo should do whatever it takes to grab Stastny with giving up a top 6 forward. Sekera, Pysyk, Leino, 2nd rounder - for Stastny and a 4th. Maybe this could work. Darcy here this. Get Doan and don't trade Vanek.
