Why don't Americans like hockey?

I really don't understand why Americans don't like hockey. How is Nascar and Baseball so popular, meanwhile hockey is not? I guess any Canadian will never understand this. Hockey to us Canadians is more than a sport it's a way of life. I guess that is how some americans look at Baseball. To most Canadians lets say over 90%, NO ONE LIKES BASEBALL!, and Nascar you may find 1 person out of 200 that even know anything about it. In Canada it is all about Hockey. I don't see why we don't get more NHL teams in places like Hamilton, Quebec City, and of course Winnipeg! Even Victoria or Regina would probably have enough fans at the rink. No one likes hockey in Nashville. Just like no one likes Baseball in Winnipeg. To me personally I wouldn't go watch an mlb game if the tickets were given to me for free. So why would a bunch of americans who are so amazed by nascar, want to watch an NHL game. Seriously Nascar?, I can not comprehend how thier ratings of Baseball and Nascar are so much higher than Hockey. But I also can't comprehend a lot of the things American people do. Gary Bettman Come bring teams back to CANADA if you want to save your NHL!!!!
