It's that time of the year...Stanley Cup Playoffs. Also a perfect time to write my first blog.

I may be a penguins fan but I am going to attack this from a non-biased approach. There are a couple teams this year that I believe have a legitimate chance at winning the cup and also a couple who have little to no shot of getting anywhere close to lord Stanley's cup. So without further ado I give you my predictions.

Eastern Conference Quarterfinals

Penguins over Islanders in 4
Canadians over Sens in 6
Rangers over caps in 6
Bruins over leafs in 5

Western Conference Quarterfinals

Hawks over wild in 5
Red wings over Ducks in 7
Canucks over Sharks in 6
Kings over Blues in 6

Eastern Conference Semi-Finals

Pens over Rangers in 7
Bruins over Canadians in 6

Western Conference Semi-Finals

Hawks over Red Wings in 6
Canucks over Kings in 7

Eastern Conference Finals

Pens over Bruins in 5

Western Conference Finals

Hawks over Canucks in 6

Stanley Cup Finals

Penguins over Blackhawks in 6

I know I know picking both number 1 seeds to go to the finals, but I just can't see either number 1 losing to any of the 7 teams in their conference.

Andddd I know I know I'm a penguins fan picking them to win it all, but while writing this I found myself reallllly looking for a team that they could lose to and I just can't find one. I honestly think their hardest series is going to be in the second round against the Rangers and after that it should be a breeze. With the penguins essentially playing a tune up series against the islanders and the Rangers playing a tough Series against the Caps, the pens should be able to beat the rangers with speed. All that being said the Playoffs are played on the ice and not on paper or on blogs.

Penguins win! No bias huh? Right. Your discounting the fact that the playoff are essentially a brand new season and anything can (and usually does) happen. Regular season usually means little at this time of year. Best of luck to ya though!
