I am the GM of the old West & East Conference and I can only trade players out of their conferences , those are the 15 deals that I am proposing. ( Salary Cap , Team Needs, Depth Areas and Years Remaining on the contract are all factors included).
1. MTL - ANA Andrei Markov for Emerson Etem 1st round draft pick (2014)
( Explanation: Someone that can mentor Cam Fowler and also contribute to the present window for the Ducks to win the Stanley Cup , Montreal gets a great young player and dump salary)
2. BOS-CLB Brad Marchand for Brandon Dubinsky/2nd round draft pick (2014)
( Columbus needs more scorers like Brad Marchand, while Boston gets another player that can play '' Boston '' hockey
3. OTT-PHX Milan Michalek+Zack Smith for Keith Yandle & 3rd rounder (2015)
- The Sens get another defender that can create offense other than Erik Karlsson
while PHX gets a star forward that can create dynamite offense with Mike Ribeiro
4. TOR-CAL James Reimer for TJ Brodie
- Calgary gets a starting goaltender while Toronto gets a replacement to possibly Franson or Phaneuf
5. BUF-STL Thomas Vanek Extended ( 3 years ) & 2nd round draft pick for David Backes, TJ Rattie & 1st round draft pick (2015)
- Sabres are rebuilding and STL gets their star forward that they've been looking for.
6. PIT-VAN Matt Niskanen for Jannik Hansen & Dave Weise
7. NYR-CHI Marc Staal for Patrick Sharp
Rangers need more offence & Marc Staal takes some ice time from Keith & Seabrook for them to not play 30 minutes a night.
8. NYI- EDM Evgeni Nabokov and Michael Grabner & 1st for Devan Dubnyk and Ales Hemsky
NYI gets their number one goaltender ( long term) and a forward that can excel with or without John Tavares, while EDM gets an excellent third liner to replace Hemsky , an a stop gap goalie that could put them in the playoffs.
9. PHI- NSH Scott Hartnell + Braydon Coburn+ Scott Laughton + Robert Hagg for Shea Weber
PHI get their number 1 defensemen with Timonen departing, while Nashville will have a 30 goal scorer , another top 4 defenseman , a possible n.1/n.2 center and another good young defender
10. NJD - DAL Adam Henrique+ Peter Harrold for Trevor Daley + 1st draft pick
Dallas gets their n.2 center to leave pressure off the Tyler Seguin line and New Jersey get a defensemen that can create offence on a good contract.
11. WAS - DET 3rd+ 4th rounder for Joakim Anderson
Salary dump from Detroit , Washington gets a center that could arguably steal the 2C spot.
12.TBL - SJS Malone for Havlat+ Justin Braun
- Trading 2 injury prone players with the same contract but Martin Havlat has more potential to produce
13. CAR - Gleason + Dalpe for Martinez + Ellerby + Clifford
LA had a logjam at defence and departs with their 2 arguably worst defenders and a young player they won't be able to sign anyway, CAR departs with a prospect that hasn't been able to create a spot for himself .
14. WIN - COL Bogosian for Ryan O'Reilly
Winnipeg needs more offence and has great defensive depth , COL needs defensive help and already have 3 top centerman.
15. FLA-MIN Sean Bergenheim + 2nd for Matthew Dumba
Minnesota's Stanley Cup window is NOW while Florida is rebuilding.
I like the BUF-STL trade, especially because you made the first rounder to Buffalo a 2015.
Hell no to the oilers trade.
No way Markov fetches that much. Etem is a blue chip prospect and he alone should be enough.CLB takes that deal and runs. Marchand, as much as I hate him, is extremely valuable.
These trades are all 1 sided

WTF hahaha total joke. These are at least 10X worse then the trades Yost and Cloutier make.
As a fellow Flyer fan, its time to let Shea Weber go bro. We all wanted him soo badly, but its never happening, and that trade would def never happen.
Wow, those are horrible trade offers, even the Isles
Wow, horrible trade offers .....
Way to rip off Clouts and Yost.
Love the trade wars idea but clearly not a lot of thought went into most of these deals. Nice try though.
laughton certainly doesnt project as a no 1/2 center, ease up buddy
yes add another defensemen to an already overcrowded leafs blue line while also getting rid of their more experienced goalie. Where is the logic there?
Dont do any more trade blogs, its completely out of your league
