Leafs Rebuild!

Some might agree or disagree with the comments I am about to make.. But, that's what this site is all about!
I have been a Leaf fan long enough to be sick and tired Of the roller coaster. Especially after the last 5 years of play.. I think Burke is a good GM but.. He ruined this hockey team. Brought in the 2 worst players on this team (Phaneuf and Kessel) and then his side-kick Nonnis signed them For the next 7 years!! Awesome!
Kessel is not a bad hockey player! Great goal scorer! One of the best shots in the league! One of the fastest players with the puck! But... Given the fact that we lost Tyler seguin, dougie Hamilton, and a prospect for kessel...it's not all that good for toronto.. I stuck up for kessel for probably 3 years.. Until I started to notice how lazy and one dimensional of a player he is.. Now watching Seguin and Hamilton play... I would trade back any day of the week.. Probably throw a prospect with him!
I know what's going to happen though .. Toronto is probably going to trade away Kadri.. Or some other young prospect that some GM will demand for .. Because they aren't stupid.. No one wants lupul , gardiner,phaneuf ,robidas ... They want high potential players .. All the ones were trying to hang onto.. They will wait for our fans to call for someone's head.. And make a bad trade to shut people up... (Kessel trade)
What I think they should do is start the rebuild over... I'm sorry but they blew it..this team we have will not win a cup in the next 5 years... They will be finishing anywhere between 6-11 in the east and if they make the playoffs.. They won't be winning the cup , that's for sure.
I mentioned this idea last year before the draft.. Obviously it didn't happen.. We can still try and get mcdavid or one of the other top end prospects in this draft.
Bernier,Reilly,Nylander,JVR,Kadri trade the rest please and let's get some people who want to play defense as much as forward!

Understand your frustrations, unfortunately, nobody who runs the Toronto sports teams are nearly as passionate as some of the fans and followers of this team. The Jays, Leafs, Raptors and God knows who else, everyone at the upper echelons of those teams are fine and dandy with decent teams, some star players to put butts into seats and do not care about winning enough. Until these teams find the right people to lead the way at the top, these teams will always be stuck in a world where mediocricity is accepted and titles are a mere bonus. I think Brendan Shanahan will be a good start for this franchise, but it will take some time for everyone to see the finished product. Hopefully, that route will be similar to the ones Dean Lombardi and Rocky Wirtz have taken in recent years. In the future, of your writing, try to refrain from using the word "we" when mentioning the Leafs or any team you support. When people say we regarding their teams, they sound like Chicago Cubs fans in Iowa and Nebraska! We are better than that, we are Maple Leaf fans!
