Spending Time in Jail

I don't get the opportunity to blog very often, but I've been a loyal HockeyBuzz reader since day one. This Blog has nothing to do with hockey other than the fact that the NHL and its players are often held above all other leagues and athletes for their charitable works and community support. Here is your chance to do a little something.
Almost three years ago, my wife was diagnosed with a congenital kidney defect that, fortunately was correctable through surgery. This condition left her with one normal kidney and another kidney that is functioning at about 40% efficiency. She is one of the lucky ones.
Many children and adults are not so lucky. Kidney Disease often leaves their kidneys in such a degraded state that they must undergo dialysis. This requires them to spend nearly 4 hours connected to dialysis machine up to 3 times a week. Dialysis is a treatment, not a cure, and the only know relief from this sentence is a Kidney Transplant.
Dialysis can feel like a jail sentence. I, along with many others, are going to jail on October 29th to raise "bail" to get ourselves, and hopefully Kidney Disease Patients, out of jail. You can help with this by going to the following website and posting "bail":

I have a kidney problem too, thankfully not bad enough that I need dialysis. I'm lucky. Good luck with your charity...we both know that kidneys are overlooked by a lot of people, so I'd gladly give my support. Unfortunately I can't afford to at the moment, but when I'm in a better life situation I will definitely contribute to things like this.

Froot. My best wishes to your wife and all who are afflicted with such a terrible condition. I am glad your wife is one of the lucky ones and my thoughts go out to those who are not so lucky. Kind of puts the fortunes of hockey teams in proper perspective. This is one that we need to fight and win.Great job Froot. Best of luck! SYF
