Modry has torn labrum-->surgery after season

I can confirm the report that Modry has a torn labrum in his left shoulder... because Modry told it to me following the game at the Garden on Sunday... It also appeared in the AP piece from Ira Podell who was in the hallway with me

He said he will get surgery on it at the end of the season and will play through the pain right now but it is bothering him.
(Not that its any excuse for him to skate next to Afinogenov from blue line to crease when he scored Buffalo's 2nd goal last night)

The injury apparently cannot get much worse from him playing with it right now which explains why Modry only missed 2 games when he was originally thought to be out for at least a week.
