Sabres pull out another one 4-3 in OT vs Wild

Rising like a phoenix from the ashes, the Sabres came back from two goals down inside the last 5 minutes of the 3rd period to defeat the Minnesota Wild 4-3 in overtime.
The Sabres one line was the story of the night after scoring 3 out of the 4 goals of the night including the game winner. Thomas Vanek tied the game up in the waning minutes of the 3rd and Derek Roy tallied his long awaited first goal of the season in the opening minute of OT to clinch the comeback victory.
Assisted by his linemates Roy and Vanek, Drew Stafford scored a sweet backhand goal for Buffalo to make it 1-0 in the first period. The Wild stormed back and went up 3-1 led by goals from Benoit Pouliot, Stephane Veilleux and Brett Burns. Pouliot scored on a rebound following two very nice saves by Miller, who generally had a solid game with some spectacular saves, but a goal by Veilleux and a critical mistake led to the deficit. The biggest miscue was a costly pass in the zone by Miller across the crease on the PK that got deflected by Burns to give the Wild the 3-1 lead.
Nathan Paetsch, playing for the injured Craig Rivet, created the Sabres second goal in the his action of the young season. Adam Mair tipped in the nice shot from the point to begin the comeback with 4 minutes remaining.
Notes: Vanek's goal extended his league leading total to 8 and Stafford now has a goal in his last 2 games. The one line of the Sabres had 6 points total for the game. The Wild kept their 100% PK mark going while the Sabres had one PP goal allowed (the Miller deflected pass).
