A Finger up

After many laptop issues, some family matters to attend to, I'm finally back to blog again! It's been a few games since my last Leaf report and just when things were looking bleak, the Leafs have pulled it together the last 3 games to play some incredibly sound hockey.
Backtrack to a Friday night in New York, Carlo Colaiacovo is feeling glum because he's learned he's to be a healthy scratch. What cheers a guy up when he's down? Suit shopping in New York City! We decided to dress to the nines for the game and I think we looked pretty darn good. I heard I was spotted on TV next to Carlo before the game on TV, so my 15 minutes of fame is assured. Carlo jokingly told me "well at least I'll look great while I sit out" I wholeheartedly agreed with him -- Carlo looked outstanding in his versace suit.
It's been an up and down start for Carlo so far, he knows he has much to contribute to this team, but so far coach Wilson hasn't given him the chance to shine. It's a crowd on defence with able-bodied men all ready to contribute, and everyone is feeling on edge.
Which brings me to the latest point about Jeff Finger. After one game in a Leaf uniform it's obvious why Fletcher worked so hard to sign this guy on the off-season. He has solidified the Leaf defence to a point that they now boast one of the best collection of blueliners in the conference, if not the league. Scoring has been an issue so far this season, but the addition of a Mats could solve all problems on that front.
