Disgusted....the only words I can say.

Another loss...what's new? Words can't describe how disgusted I feel with this team and their performance. Lets take our Habs glasses off because I don't have hab glasses on. I'm just being realistic. I used to say the habs were the best and no one could beat us, when I was...what 7 to 16? Give or take. Ever since I've went to college and got accepted to the psychology program I've been more realistic and I call it as it is and how I see it.
We do have a good team with some good talented players but we lack grit and toughness. I hate the Bruins but I have to say I wished we played like them, hard hitting and tough hockey. That's the way to do it. We were out hit and out played in the Playoffs last year because of our lack toughness and grit. We need to start drafting players that a 6 feet and up only.
Carbo: Gainey wake up and fire him for god sakes! So what if he's your boy! You've employed him to lead and teach this team. He's not doing it so you fire him and hire someone suitable, preferably Tortarrela. He can light a fire under these guys ass and probably run the french media out of town.
Price: He's still young with boat loads of potential. He's not a ruined goalie and I doubt that he will be a bust. He has a lot of talent and the skill set to become a top goalie. He's 21 years old, he's still young and he still has a lot of time learn. That comes with age and experience. Yes he has flaws and so does everyone else. Name me one person who doesn't have flaws? And don't say Jesus because that wouldn't be a fair response. But you can't say he's a horrible goalie just because you don't like the habs. I don't like the bruins but I love Lucic, Rask and their style of play.
Kovalev: Trade him, waive him, leave him at a bus stop, I don't care what they do to him but just get rid of him. At this point I'll take a pencil for him. He's an extremely talented play that lack heart, desire. Plain and simple he's lazy. Always has been and always will. He's no God and people need stop acting like he is. He's the biggest fluke of a player and a locker room cancer.
If you're paying a guy 4.5 million a year or more you better get something good in return. He's getting paid a whole lot of money which people don't make it in a life time. He should move his ass and shut his mouth because if it wasn't for hockey he'd be bum on the street and that goes for most or all athletes.

We need to play like a team and now start playing like desperate team if they want to make the playoffs.

I liked Plec last year even though he was a Hab. With all of the UFA's you have, Montreal is in trouble.
Solid blog, Juve.The Habs have some issues, but nothing that is threatning their chance for a Cup. Why? Because they haven't reached that point yet. The Habs' core consists of young players, and once the experience mounts, so to will the W's, and then eventually....they'll get their 25th Cup.Patience is all that is required..
I don't necessarily agree with some points, I respect your opinion though.Carbo led these guys from the lowest of expectations to a number 1 seed in the Playoffs. That has to count for something. And no, I'm not living in the past, I just think there's some things that are out of his control. If there's a cancer in the room, then fix it. That's Gainey's job to do. They've been playing much better without Sergei. Today vs. Ottawa everyone stood up for each other, it was great to watch.Price, I agree. But he needs to get some way to find confidence after letting goals in. Sometimes he shakes it off, but other times, not so much. And it seems like it's the goals he can't control that rattles him the most. The ones that deflect once or twice before going in. It's like he loses faith in his team or something. I'm not sure what the problem is.Kovalev: Trade him. He played really well today and showed that he can bounce back. His value is high right now for teams that are on the playoff bubble. I'd move him to the West so he doesn't come back to haunt us, but there is a market and I'm sure someone will overpay.
Solid blog Juve! You bring up some good arguments, and I agree with some of what you say - just not all of it...I pretty much felt the same way you did after the loss to Pittsburgh, but it's funny what a solid win can do for a shaky group. I was at the game on Saturday vs Ottawa, and I saw some very good things I've been aching to see for quite some time - such as Gorges jumping on Donovan to stick up for Chipchura, Dandenault dropping the gloves (what?!?), guys sticking up for Halak during scrums, and Mathieu Schneider's continued productivity on the PP. If the team follows this new energized pace (the team's play has been getting increasingly better since the Washington game), we'll be on track to enter the playoffs on a positive note.I do agree with regards to Carbo...Personally, I'd love to see Bob Hartley behind the Canadiens' bench. I also agree about Carey Price...many forget that he is still a kid. He is going through a very important part of his career right now - he's learning how to deal with adversity
