Turco finally showed up (I Think),but this time it was for the last 5 minutes of the game..
The guys from the Islanders TV (MSG) nailed it on the head- Turco is feeling the pressure of a contract season,and he has ZERO confidence..heck Robidas made better saves in the last few minutes.
Rick DiPietro made his first star since Jan 2,2008 and he looked like he did way back when,and 15 pounds lighter..I think the Islanders finally might have something...
Stars Best Line: Richards-Lehtinen-Eriksson
This line is definitely a keeper,high energy,and kept the Isles' players head on a swivel...
Stars most noticeable player- Tom Wandell
Everyone is talking about Benn, which they should be,but last night every time Wandell was on the ice, he was all I saw.He is growing into more then what the Stars thought.
Making smart plays with the puck,dogged pursuit and tenacity is something the whole team should pay attention to.
Honorable Mention-
Mike Modano is going to be a better player with Ribiero out.He looked good last night,and I hope that this will push him to bring a little bit of his prime back..
