Ilya Kovalchuck's Destination

Eklund recently posted his list of top 40 UFA's and where they could possibly go. Number one is clearly Ilya Kovalchuck. The question is...where will he go?

Eklund says that right now the top 5 choices might be Ana, NYI, NJ, Tor, LA.
Here are my thoughts on Ilya on each team.

Anaheim: : This option really threw me off. With the type of team that the Ducks have, I don't see Ilya fitting in. The Ducks are rumored to be bringing in Paul Kariya for a reunion tour with Selanne, and who knows what's going to happen with Scott Niedermayer. Id say with all of the contracts that they have, it is not likely they can afford Kovalchuck.

NYI: The Islanders certainly have the cap spare for Ilya. But they don't really seem to be going in the direction of Kovalchuck type player. They already have John Tavares, and are building the team around him. Is there really room for both men in town?
