I'm aware that this may be a bit too early in discussing this but, for arguments sake let's talk about this subject anyway.

Right now the leafs currently have 5 centers on their main roster with Bozak, Grabovski, Connolly, Lombardi and Boyce(RFA). Unless Something changes, such as Boyce not being resigned by the leafs and/or a trade of one of those 5, these players are who we're going with come next season.

We all know/hope that Bozak will not be the teams #1 center next season and I can't see the leafs making any changes to the mac-grabo-kuli line being the 2nd line so obviously that also makes Grabovski out of the running; not to mention Boyce shouldn't be anywhere near the first line center duties. Thus we are left with Connolly and Lombardi.

The somewhat problem is that both these players have had a number of injuries throughout their career and a concussion each to say the least. However Brian Burke has stated he expects both players to be a part of training camp and that their injury problems are a thing of the past( more so for Connolly's sake)

So with all that being said, I expect Connolly to be our #1 Center come the beginning of next season. But what do you guys think? Do you agree or disagree with my choice? and if so, why? Who would you rather have be our #1 Center out of the 5 players I mentioned.
