Flyers v Habs 1/25/11

Posted 4:39 PM ET | Comments 0
Flyers are coming off HOT right now. They are coming off a 6 game wining streak and are continuing to show the dominance in the Eastern League. Tonight they will play a minor rival known as the Habs.

The Habs are a great team with Gomez and Plekanec. Only one thing might stand in the way of the Flyers coming away with an easy win and that is Price. Price has had a few rocky seasons even since the Flyers beat them in the playoffs three years ago in the semi-finals to lose to Pittsburgh, luckily that had the "Hossa Curse" as I called it.

Tonight they will play against each other again in Philly. We have won 2 of the previous matches and the Habs have won the first meeting. Tonight, it should be a good game. The Flyers have the better record, including the last 10 games, where we only lost 2. The Habs have only one official loss during gameplay but 3 OT losses. So they are dead even right about now.

Bob should be in net tonight, he's been so hot that ice has been meting around him. He has a lot of big saves in the late of games and including the last game in Chicago. The Flyers should be able to beat them as will JVR probably be back in the lineup. Seeing JVR in the lineup will only increase the chances for the Flyers. He adds a scoring punch as of late but also has been skating his heart to get to those loose pucks in the corner.
The one thing that is holding them back from wining tonight would be Price. He has a 2.33 Goals Against average and a 92.1% save percentage. He has been good this season and continues to be the goalie that he was his rookie year.
