As a sabres fan I was very pleased with how Tim Murray handled his first trade deadline with the Sabres. Over past years fans would watch the trade deadline come and go without the team making a splash (with the exception of the Hogdson trade). However this year it was different Murray was very active in the days up to the deadline, dealing miller and ott to the blues for stewart and halak was a great move in my opinion, and it helps that he was then able to flip halak for neuvirth and klesla. His best move was sending Mcnabb to the kings for what I believe are two great prospects, Fasching and Deslauriers. Tonight we might get the chance to see if Deslauriers was a good pickup as he was called up by the Sabres on an emergency bias, and in the next few years we will see how Fasching turns out. If the World Juniors have any say in his potential then we as Sabres fans should be very excited as he dominated with his physical ability and his skill.rnAll and all sabres fans should be excited about Tim Murray and we should praise his ability to get value in all of his trades; and I would give Murray a solid A- grade for his first deadline.
