Kuznetsov has landed!

The long awaited debut for Evgeny Kuznetsov will finally take place tonight in Washington against their rivals from Pittsburgh. Kuznetsov was drafted 26th overall in the 2010 NHL Draft. He has since been playing in the KHL for Traktor Chelyabinsk where he has 65 goals and 146 points in 210 games. Kuznetsov helped Russia win gold during the 2011 World Junior and took home the MVP in 2012 despite finishing second to Sweden.Washington has 17 games left in the regular season and currently sits only one point out of the eighth and final playoff spot in the East. With the trade deadline coming and going, the Capitals new acquisitions of Jaro Halak and Dustin Penner hope to contribute to the teams success along with Kuznetsov. Pittsburgh comes into the game currently sitting 2nd in the Eastern Conference with 88 points, one behind Boston for the top spot. They are currently 2-2 on their five game road trip which ends tonight in Washington. These two teams will meet again Tomorrow night in Pittsburgh.
