Hello HockeyWorld, ScottQ32 here. It's true tank nation is over and my Sabres have not won. The Edmonton Oilers will draft 1st overall. The Sabres will pick at second and will still get a generational player in Eichel but from my standpoint you can't help but think what could of been. I tried to see Connor in Erie at my birthday in November but he was injured. I also tried to see him in the Otters final regular season but alas he was scratched. I guess it just wasn't meant to be. One thing about the lottery Mike Milbury said we were crushed and it was snowing in buffalo, tears. I fliped when I heard that because Milbury hates us. Anyway with that behind this is what I think Tim Murray could do this offseason.
June 26, 2015: With the 2nd and (speculating) 21st we draft Eichel + Travis Konecny. You have probably heard enough about Eichel and here is some info about Konecny. A talented scoring forward that can play either as a center or on the wing; plays with the bite and intensity of a guy who is willing to do anything to win a game. Possesses dynamic skating ability that allows him to accelerate rapidly with each step, incredible hockey sense, electrifying puckhandling skills, and a lightning release on his shot; when you put this skillset together with hard-nosed determination, proactiveness in all three zones, and a physical willingness to grind and persevere, you get a game-changer who can be extremely difficult to play against.
