"New York Isles"
United States •
After a bunch of frustrating loses between Tampa Bay, Pittsburgh and most importantly the Florida game, where, Halak gave up the game-tying goal with 14 seconds left. During every home, the chants of "Fire Cappy" were reigning down from the rafters and when asked by reporters, Snow said "we have faith in the coaching staff......He [Capuano] was in the World Cup so that says a lot" It does say a lot when team USA doesn't win a single game in the World Cup. With the new owners in John Ledecky who goes to every game, home and away and Scott Malkin their promise to the fans were a "fifth ring" but as of November 19, they have 9.13% chance to make the playoffs. Garth Snow is keeping his coaching staff but in reality it can cost him his job. With Capuano knowing his boss his faith in him, Cappy is putting his faith in Snow by making a first line that will consist of 3 first round picks. Josh Bailey 8th overall in 2008. John Tavares 1st in 2009 and Ryan Strome the 5th pick in 2011. That just goes to show how long the Isles have been in the "rebuild" era. After winning their first playoff series in 23 years, you could've expected a better team but no, they've only gotten worse. Not wanting to blame Snow because he's done a good job in his 11 years here but this July was arguably his worst. Yes, he brought in Andrew Ladd but that's about it. He didn't even make an offer to Kyle Okposo, per sources and Frans Nielsen said "I just really wanted a new feel, new coaches and management" New coaches is the big thing that stands out. No matter what anyone says, Garth Snow has trust in this team and after all we should all have faith too.
