how you say that is beyond me.. really.. it makes no sence.. crosby plays with malkin, and the majority of his goals are tap ins.. you talk about all around players, lets loook at the stats...

when ovechkin is on the ice you fear him.. you fear his shot, his scoring, his hitting... that fear is not there for crosby.. crosby is great sure, but best player in the world.. keep dreaming... besides from the whining diving crying and complaining the biased officiating in his behavior is unbearable.. teams dont have players shadow crosby like they do with ovechkin.. lets compare statistics...

ovechkin had 23 more goals
crosby had 16 more assists
ovechkin had 7 more points
ovechkins plus minus was 8, crosbys 3
crosby had 76 penalty minutes, ovechkin had 72
ovechkin had 19 PP goals, crosby had 7
ovechkin had 1 SH goal, crosby had none
ovechkin had 10 GW goals, crosby had 3
heres a nice one.. ovechkin was 9th in the league in hits, with 243
crosby was tied with 5 players for 248th in the league with 80
crosby had 8 more blocked shots
crosby had 80 giveaways and 56 takeaways.. so dont say hes a great all around player... he doesnt hit at all.. turns it over more than he takes it away.. is 20th in the league in goals, while ovechkin is first..
heres another nice stat.. crosby won 51.3 percent of his faceoffs.. sure its a tad over 50%, but for a first line faceoff man thats not good... by any stretch of the imagination..

lets review.. ovechkin had more 23 goals, 7 more points,
a better plus/minus by 5, 12 more powerplay goals with the same amount of PP time , 1 more shorthanded goals, 163 more hits than crosby, 7 more game winning goals
crosby had 16 more assists, 8 more blocked shots... had more giveaways than takeaways, and had a faceoff percentage of only 51.3%.. out of the players who took 1000 faceoffs or more.. which was 51... crosby was ranked 28th.. thats less than average... so hes not even a better than average faceoff man.. especially for a first-line center...

can someone please explain to me how he is even close to being the best player???
