The quietest summer in NY Ranger history it seems is dwindling to an end. Very little moves, even less rumors. Has Mr. Sather finally learned that building a team from the bottom up is truly the only way to be successful in the NHL for years to come? With a plethora of young defensemen and a core of Gaborik, Callahan and Dubinsky, I can feel a move in the air with hopefully a Redden or Rozsival being moved to get a more bona-fide scorer on the current roster, but the fore-mention, make any move difficult. Yet, somehow last year Glen found a willing sucker, I mean partner in the taking of Gomez's contract so anything is possible in today's salary age. There are plenty of teams who need contracts to get off the salary floor that might be willing to take either/or of our overpaid D-men. This will allow for the addition of a maybe a Frolov to help out a team lacking offense. The current roster doesn't give me great hope for the upcoming season, but with 2 months to go, there is ample time to make moves to give me that Ranger hope we have every year.
