...Outhustled, Outskated! Get the picture? This pretty much sums up game one in Detroit. The Wings pretty much won every battle. They worked harder, fought for pucks, made crisp passes and capitalized on scoring opportunities. Kipper played his butt off, but that simply wasn't enough on this night. For most of the game, the Flames couldn't muster up a decent shot and never really tested Hasek. They sort of came to life in the third with Tanguay breaking the shutout and the scrum that ensued after Cleary bumped Kipper. Mind you, he was pretty far out of the net and Cleary didn't really hit him all that hard, but I like the way the Flames responded to that incident. Let's hope that a little of that fire can carry over to Sunday afternoon!
