In Varly I Trust

Posted September 5, 2013
Now on Twitter, follow me @NewEraAvs Mark Kiszla says the Avalanche has no shot at making the playoffs this year without Ryan Miller. Adrian Dater says there is nothing to the rumors of a Stastny-Miller swap. Seems like there’s an internal feud at the Denver Post. The trade on paper makes perfect sense. Both are position of needs on each team. Both have expiring contracts at the end of the se... Read More »

Should Avs trade for Franson?

The Avs put both Hunwick and Zanon on waivers with the hopes that one or both would get picked up by another team. No one was interested, leading to Zanon being bought out earlier today. The Avs did not use one or their two compliance buyout, electing to use... Read More »

Avs at the Draft & the Defense

Posted July 2, 2013
The Avalanche kept their word and started the Draft by selecting Nathan MacKinnon of the Halifax Mooseheads first overall. Only time will tell if this was the right selection however, no one can deny the potential of MacKinnon which immediately helps the top 9. After MacKinnon, the Avs mostly focused on selecting Defense. Although rated as a position of strength on hockeysfuture.com with the li... Read More »
