Dustin Penner: Last Of A Dying Breed

Posted August 6, 2007
In the midst of all the Dustin Penner drama, I started thinking to myself why would a well respected veteran general manager like Kevin Lowe go through so much trouble to bring over the 25 year-old Manitoba native to Edmonton. Penner, who appeared in all 82 games with the Anaheim Ducks last season, finished with 29 goals and 16 assists in his first full NHL season and played in all 21 playoff game... Read More »

It seems Nonis wants to build a stronger defensive presence around Roberto Luongo which is just what the team needs after seeing their all-star goalie get pushed around all season and especially in the playoffs. Sanford To Back Up Luongo

Posted July 3, 2007

I think this a great signing b... Read More »
Cory Schneider has officially signed his first NHL contract with the Vancouver Canucks after spending the last two seasons with Boston College and breaking a record for most shutouts in a single season with eight. Schneider will most likely play as a starter for the Manitoba Moose and may very well see some ice time in Vancouver. However, it has been said this could be a move by management to invo... Favorite Teams

I'm a B.C. Boy so naturally I'm a die hard Canucks fan, my other favorite teams include the Sharks, the Rangers and the Senators.

Most Hated Teams

I can safely say I hate the whole Northwest Division excluding, of course, the Canucks. The team I dislike the most in the Northwest would have to be the Minnesota Wild.

Favorite Players

My favorite forward in the NHL is Joe Thornton, my favorite defensemen is Jay Bouwmeester and my favorite goalie is Roberto Luongo.

Most Hated Players

The players I hate the most in the NHL are Raffi Torres, Alexei Yashin, Chris Chelios and Ladislav Nagy.

Best Hockey Memories

My best hockey memory is when Matt Cooke scored with 5.7 seconds left in the third period to send Game 7 of the Flames / Canucks playoff series into overtime in 2004.
