For the last few games the Toronto Maple Leafs have been playing quite well, there's no question about that. But they need to continue working hard and developing chemistry to keep up any sort of success.

Free Agent...Ice Age?

This years free agency was never highly regarded as being a very deep one. But even still, it's been a little slow and disappointing. In the first 2 days there were over 50 contracts handed out. Since then, there's been less than 10 total. And to top it off, the years top Free Agent, Ilya Kovalchuk STILL hasn't signed. Yesterday it was finally made official, #3 Dion Phaneuf was named the 18th captain in Toronto Maple Leafs History, or the 22nd in Toronto history if you include the Arenas and St. Pats.

At the trade deadline today Brian Burke didn't do a whole lot. Including the night before only a few deals went down.
