Welcome to the 2007 NHL off-season. That would be the new NHL. The cap-era NHL. The fiscally responsible NHL. The $8-million per year for Scott Gomez NHL. Favorite Teams

I grew up a Montreal Canadiens fan living in Ottawa. I cheered them on when they lost the Stanley Cup to Calgary in 1989 and when they won it in 1993. The Ottawa Senators were in their infancy then and have had to battle for my affection for 15 years. The two are virtually tied in the race for my support. It's to the point where I don't cheer at all when a goal is scored during a divisional game between these rivals.

Most Hated Teams

I guess Toronto becomes the de facto enemy to both my favorite teams.

Best Hockey Memories

Montreal's 8-5 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins in March of 1995. My first and only game at th Forum. What a place it was.

... a not very good one. I can pass and I've got a good slapshot but I don't skate to fast. I learned long ago that baseball, I play, and hockey, I watch.
