Well past the halfway point of the season, the Olympics on the horizon and the trade deadline around the corner, what do the Sabres need to make a serious run at a cup. Let's be honest, Miller overall has been lights out, and it's doubtful he ever has a season like this again. His career year can't be wasted on "just a playoff run." Go big or go home, right?

With the departure of Jaroslav Spacek, Max Afinogenov, Teppo Numminen, Al Kotalik, and most likely Dominic Moore and Andrew Peters, and the addition of Mike Grier, Cody McCormick, and Steve Montador, the Sabres will surely have a "new" look this coming season. The past 2 seasons have left us fans asking "Where is the grit?", and finally Darcy has addressed the issue.
