I'll do an introductory blog later. I'm going to have some fun with this first one. I hope you will, too.

Every Playoffs, there is drama. There is no drama in any postseason, IMO, like an overtime goal in a Stanley Cup Playoff game. I was in the crowd for Game 1 of last year's conference quarterfinal between the Sharks and Preds, and I tell you, there's been nothing like it for me in sport before or since.

I have searched all over YouTube for every OT goal from every round this postseason. Take a look at all of them, and vote for your favorite (or the goal which you think is best) in the comments section. Round-by-round, series-by-series, here is every goal (edit: I tried to embed them into this blog entry, but I got some stupid "Click here to download this plugin" message, so I had to leave links):
Conference Quarterfinals
Montreal vs. Boston
Game 2 - Alexei Kovalev

Game 3 - Marc Savard

Washington vs. Philadelphia
Game 4 - Mike Knuble

Game 7 - Joffrey Lupul

New Jersey vs. New York Rangers
Game 3 - John Madden (all I could find was a replay)

Detroit vs. Nashville
Game 5 - Johan Franzen

Minnesota vs. Colorado
Game 1 - Joe Sakic

Game 2 - Keith Carney

Game 3 - Pierre-Marc Bouchard

Conference Semifinals
Montreal vs. Philadelphia
Game 1 - Tom Kostopoulos (in this video, there is the game-tying goal with just under 30 seconds left in the third, then a CBC montage of all OT goals from the first round, then, finally, Kostopoulos' OT winner)

Pittsburgh vs. New York Rangers
Game 5 - Marian Hossa

San Jose vs. Dallas
Game 1 - Brenden Morrow

Game 3 - Mattias Norstrom

Game 5 - Joe Pavelski

Game 6 - Brenden Morrow

Conference Finals - NO OT goals

Stanley Cup Final
Game 5 - Petr Sykora

There they all are. First vote to me. The best? Sykora, no doubt. My favorite? Morrow in quadruple OT. It's classic Chris Cuthbert. What do YOU think?

Great blog - I can totally relate to your experience, as I went to Game 5 of the conference semifinals between the Sabres and Rangers last year, and Afinogenov's goal in OT (after Drury tied it with 7.7 seconds left in regulation)...wow..nothing like it. For this year, Morrow's Game 6 OT winner was the best. My least favorite is Lupul's because I dislike the Flyers. My favorite goes to Petr Sykora.

Sharks1, if you're implying that if the Sharks had beaten Dallas in a game 7, then would've beaten Detroit, forget it. Wings would've ate em up just like last year. Nobody was going to beat the Wings this year. They were on a mission. The Sharks are still wondering what a mission is.
