It is probably too soon to write how it feels after watching my Rangers team go down 5-4 today, but I don't think time will change my opinion of this team.

All I can say is that I'm proud of the 2006-2007 New York Rangers. This team never gave up, not when most counted them out during the regular season and not today down 2 goals to the Sabres.

Jaromir Jagr showed the heart of a champion today and in my opinion all season. I don't know how he was in Pittsburgh or Washington but he can Captain my Rangers team any year. Also I do believe that you can win the Stanley Cup with JJ wearing the "C" on his jersey.

I think the future looks great for this organization and the experience gained this season will only help in the future. We had a lot of youth on the team today with Callahan and Girardi and Dawes and Tyutin and Hossa and Prucha and of course Lundqvist all part of the future.

I have to congratulate the Sabres and their fans and wish them the best in the rest of the playoffs.

It is bittersweet knowing that my team will not be playing any more meaningful games this season, but it sure was great that the 18,200 gave them a standing ovation after the handshake and let them know how much we appreciate the effort they gave us all season long.

Thanks from all Rangers fans and one last time this season.

Let's Go Rangers!!
