After having tied the game with minutes to go in the third period, the Toronto Maple Leafs get the butt end of the stick on a non call which allowed the New Jersey Devils to score the game winning goal on goaltender Vesa Toskala.

What a dissapointment this is. The Leafs were in position to get a minimum of 1 point and maybe more but due to this poor non call by the officiating staff in tonight's game and Philadelphia's win against the New York Islanders, the Leafs are left 8 full points behind the 8th and final playoff spot.

Now I should say that I do give props to Zach Parise for the goal he scored. The goal itself was nice. it was the play just prior that, that really stunk. How this is not called is beyond me. The official was right there!

My Frustration although warranted is cooled over by the fact that the Leafs will likely see the end at the light of the tunnel and will start to turn their focus on getting a solid piece to their future. Is that Stamkos? Probably not.

I just listened to Don Cherry and he is fuming over the 2 missed calls that resulted in the two Jersey goals. Rock and a hard place here folks.
