It was on Easter Sunday, April 8, 2007, the last time flyers played in the 2006-2007 season.

That was also the day inwhich Flyers GM Paul Holmgren had the task to rebuild one of the storied franchise teams in the history of nhl from misery of being th laughing stock of NHL into one of the glourous Franchises in all of hockey.

Paul has succeded through many test such as trading away Peter Forsberg,Kyle Calder and Alexi Zktinik for talented youth players that can step right away and play.

But he hasnt pass all his test so far. Yes he has stolen a #1 Defenseman and a forward from (Insert City Name) Predators.

BUT

Paul, it's time for you to GET A #1 CENTERMAN and ENFORCER.

advice for homer, flyers fans dont like to give out F's on their report cards.......

Eager should be able to enforce until that 3 round goon learns how to make a turn on skates. Should be any year now.As to a first line center, I'd like to see Homer go after Marleau if Drury wants to go to San Jose. It would cost us. They can't take much salary, so probably a 1st round pick, plus ONE of Carter, Richards, or Riemer'. It would be a bold move, but, I think, worth it. Just don't make Marleau captain. That was the problem in San Jose: by all accounts, the locker room. Let Timonen be captain, or even Richards.

Enforcer? Huh? Through UFA? On the first bloody day? Nah. The goal is the nurture Klotz into a good NHL enforcer, and they have Eager and Cote until then.

You have Briere, and Eager ably fills the enforcer role.I wouldn't have a problem with Kimmo as captain. But they'll probably ask Gagne first. But Homer, you f***ed up the Pitkanen deal. Coulda gotten so much more.
