No Heart

I'm from Calgary. I have lived my whole life living and dying with the Calgary Flames. I have seen more hockey games than many people see in a lifetime. I truly am blessed with the exposure I get to the greatest game on the planet. I came out east for University, in London, Ontario, and now am blessed with getting to see Tavares play whenever I want. Over the weekend however, I finally got to... Read More »

Ahh, we were due

One positive to take from tonight. Lombardi scored. I know, it seems like something from a fantasy novel, but yes, Lombardi defied all critics and scored a goal. It was a goal that we have all expected the last three years. Will it happen again? probably not, but, he will score again, just like Holmstrom will score again. I am happy for him. But focusing on the game itself, I can only see... Read More »

Bourquetrick!

Bourque continues to have a great season for the flames with his best performance to date, garnishing three goals en route to a 6-3 Calgary win over a hapless Sens team. To be honest, I haven't followed the sens in the last while, but in my opin... Read More »

About Me

Best Hockey Memories

5. 1998 Nagano Olympics, my dad waking me up to watch the overtime and shootout between Czech and Canada. We lost, but a moment like that, watching hockey with your dad at 3 in the morning, comes once in a lifetime 4. Winning City Championship, 1999. As a 10 year old, it was pretty much like winning the Stanley Cup 3. Playing on my frozen pond. True hockey. Playing with the cold wind in your face, black ice beneath you, your friends all around, a 5 hour game where no one remembers the score, or cares. 2. Calgary Flames' Stanley cup run 2004. As a diehard fan from before i was born. (i was still in the womb, but was at game 2 of the 1989 stanley cup final), having the flames in the playoffs was one of the greatest experiences in my life, not just in hockey. 1. Walking out onto the ice, to play the greatest game in the world.
