The Vancouver Canucks have signed Roberto Luongo to a 12-year $64 million contract, making him a lifetime Canuck. You know, if anyone had any doubt how hockey crazy the City of Calgary was, they need not wonder any more after tonight’s scrimmage by Team Canada Red vs. White. The atmosphere was outstanding. You could not hear anything at the beginning, it was electric. A 10 year old Miss Pederson sang the national anthem in both languages. It was pure magic even before the game started.

Being a small-time blogger has it advantages, as I can pretty much say anything I want and no one cares. I know a lot of the players, but they do not know I am a blogger and do not follow me anyway. Danny Heatley is running out of options. In reality, he has to reconsider his decision to demand to be traded to certain cities. I have heard only rumors on which team he has on his list. But for someone who wants to leave Ottawa, he sure is making it hard on himself. Think about it, don’t you think that if you wanted out of somewhere, you would be as accommodating as you could.

When one is obsessed, when does one cross the line? I wondered if I am a little crazy with my hockey. Can one become to obsessive about hockey? I think not. But pretty please, do not ask my wife; she seems to take things to personally when it comes to hockey.

FLamestr- great blog. I think something Calgary fans should remember is that in 2004 when they beat the Canucks in 7 they should have thanked Bertuzzi for being a worldclass meathead in March of that year. With him in the lineup that series probably didn't go the Flames way. Just a thought.
