We are getting bigger, but not really better.
The Devils have traded a conditional fourth round pick and Thomas Bordeleau for the 6'6'' center. Just a week after adding the 6'3'' Maxim Tsyplakov from the Islanders, New Jersey continues to add size to the bottom six. Bjugstad had 45 points for Arizona just a few seasons ago, but just 7 in 35 this year.
Not much of a move but hopefully this pushes guys like Glendening out of the lineup permanently. At the very least it lights a fire under the ass of the abysmal fourth line trash that has been run out on a daily basis in NJ for years. If Bjugstad can be half the man he was in Arizona a few years ago that's as good/better than Glendening was in his best season. Good to be active, but way bigger chips need to fall here...
