Forbes Magazine in the NHL most valuable hockey teams. Not bad for a team stuck between a really tough market.
Metro area population: 19,007,000
Devils local revenue per fan: $14
Rangers local revenue per fan: $22
Islanders local revenue per fan: $9
Figures again from Forbes are based on Stadium and local media revenue generated per person in the metro area. The Devils seem to stack up really well against teams that have been around a lot longer.
