With the closing of the 2012 summer games comes the passing of the torch and the countdown to the winter olympics in Sochi 2014. With the winter olympics hockey fans will get to see the greatest hockey tournament every four four years. The NHL's best players representing their country vying for Olympic gold.
Being a canadian winning gold in mens ice hockey means everything. It's best on best on the biggest stage and Canada is the defending gold medalist. I thought it would be fun to rank Hockey Canada's depth at forward, defense, and goalies. This can and will ultimately change before 2014 in Sochi and is just my opinion. The opinion of a fan. So in part 1 I will rank 32 Canadian forwards and the top 13 is what I would take to Sochi if the olympics were to start tomorrow.

Although I stated that the list is the way I would rank them if Sochi olympics started tomorrow some of the players dropped down the list due to how old they will be in 2014 ie ( Iginla, Doan)
Hope you enjoyed the read let me know what you think or who you would rank higher or lower on your list. Defense and Goalies tomorrow. Thanks
The depth we have at center is ridiculous. Crosby, Stamkos, Toews, Spezza, Tavares, Staal etc. Can't wait for Sochi.
I know it's exciting to think about the team Canada can put together.
