Update on Red Wings Overseas

While the NHL is disintegrating, some of the Red Wings have taken their talents elsewhere to stay fresh, make a living, or just play the game they enjoy. Here is a list of the players who are overseas and their stats in case anyone wanted to know how Henrik Zetterberg and Damien Brunner were playing together or how Pavel Datsyuk was tearing up the homeland.
Henrik Zetterberg: 3 GP, 5-2-7 PTS, 2 PIM, +8 for EV Zug (Swiss)
Pavel Datsyuk: 12 GP, 4-9-13 PTS, 2 PIM +4 for CSKA Moscow (KHL)
Valtteri Filppula: 12 GP, 5-7-12 PTS, 6 PIM +7 for Jokerit (SM-liiga)
Drew Miller: 3 GP, 2-1-3 PTS, 2 PIM Even for Braehead (EIHL)
Jakub Kindl: 12 GP, 0-4-4 PTS, 10 PIM -5 for Pardubice HC (Czech)
Cory Emmerton: 1 GP, injured in first game for SaiPa Lappeenranta (SM-liiga)

Jonathan Ericsson has also signed in the Swedish Elite League, but has not played a game yet. Pulkkinen, Jarnkrok, Backman, and Marchenko are all prospects who have not played a game for the Red Wings yet. All the skaters above have combined for 131 games played, 37 goals, 73 assists, and 110 points in their leagues.
It is nice to see Jan Mursak put up some points, even if it may be in a lower league when compared to the KHL or Swedish Elite League. Hopefully he can gain some confidence in Austria and parlay that into a breakout season whenever the NHL resumes. If it means anything, Mursak is scoring at a higher rate than Buffalo's Thomas Vanek, while playing for a less talented team.
Damien Brunner is tearing up the Swiss League. He has more points than NHLers like Joe Thornton, Rick Nash, Tyler Seguin, and Jason Spezza. They have all played 10-13 games.
