Montreal Canadiens - What is Success

The 2014-2015 season gave Habs fans a lot to think about, after the Regular Season success and a unwanted, but half expected early exit from the Playoffs.rnrnThis article will cover the play of Carey Price and how NHL Fans view the All Star.
The most common question revolves on the success of the Habs laying strictly on the Goaltender. If that is the case, the play of Price and the expectation to match, or even pass his performance will have drastic implications on Montreal's positioning in the standings and Habs fans not losing their mind from October to April. One thing I find interesting is that, while there is a strong case as to why Price's performance will reflect the success of the team, a lot of people who are making this point are outsiders looking in. What I mean by that is that they typically aren't Montreal fans, and base their knowledge of the team on what they hear in the media, or see Price taking home a lot of hardware at the NHL awards and instantly assume that "If Price is that good, than the team isn't". It's a very easy assessment to make especially when sports are a highly competitive passion between fan bases.
Last year, most Habs fans would be the first in line to tell a Leafs fan how much "Kessel Sucks". BUT, we all know every Habs fan, for the most part, would take Kessel on their team when all the cards are down. I'm sure Pittsburgh feels the exact same way and Jersey sales have been great. Let's face it, we all know a lot about our favourite teams. How they play, why they play a certain way, every statistic possible, but when it comes to teams you see 5-10 times a year, and you aren't engaged, your judgement becomes less educated, so a lot of thoughts on other teams becomes a vague and repetitive.
Montreal's success is built of Price". That may be true, and I, as well as most Habs Fans will admit that Montreal would not be where they are without him. But how about their defensive play? Price would most likely be the first to admit he wouldn't have won all of those awards without the Montreal Defensive team and system. Even his Hart acceptance speech was thanking the team, which may not seem like much but he knows that he is one of the most talented goalies in the world, but the teams system and commitment allowed Pirce to have a memorable year. So if Montreal wants to improve off of last year, Habs fans better hope Price can play at the same level, and hope this team can holster their defensive support around Carey.

Punctuation is a lost art.
Come guys you do not have to be a English major to write a effective article. I happen to agree with his opinion, the one thing missing from the Habs team last year was their power play. If their PP could give them another 20 goals this season and Price plays a similar game to last year this team could be headed to the finals. They did everything that they needed to do to beat Tampa Bay in the second round except score some PP goals. Had they score those goals they would probably been playing against Chicago instead of TB. That is how I see it anyway.
True, his points are valid. However, it is tough to understand in its current form. Proof reading should be mandatory, at least in my opinion. The odd mistake will happen, but articles riddled with errors have no place on a website like this. Take to facebook or twitter if you simply want to rant about your team. It is unfortunate, because the article has merit and may have been a great topic of discussion if written properly.
