Kevins Hot Take: Hakstol or Hextall to blame?

The Flyers dropped to 4-7 on the year after a very disappointing loss to the Islanders 6-1. Flyers Head Coach Dave Hakstol is on the hot seat and may be fired before their road trip to the west coast. But is he really to blame?
First of all, Dave Hakstol is not a good coach by any means. But who is putting the players on the roster who won't produce? Their GM Ron Hextall.
Now Ron Hextall has gotten this Flyers team out of cap hell after taking over as GM in 2014. The Flyers finally have money to spend and they bring back JVR??? Hextall also has signed guys like Dale Weise and traded away Brayden Schenn for 1st rounders and Jori Lehtera. Now Dale Weise and Lehtera play on the 4th line and haven't produced anything exceptional since being acquired. The Flyers have the 2nd best farm team in the league but what does that mean if their own NHL team STINKS! It makes me shake my head knowing that Hakstol is taking a lot of the fall when their GM never set him up with any SKILLED veteran players to take the team to the next level.
The Flyers should really make a call to Columbus for F Artemi Panarin. They need help offensively and this core they have right now is not getting it done.
