Glimpse into the Bruins future

To escape from the high heat and high humidity in the Boston area yesterday, I decided what better then go see a live game. So I hop in my air conditioned car and drive 2 and a half hours north to Lewiston, Maine and watch the Lewiston Maineiacs play the Acadie-Bathurst Titan in a QMJHL pre-season game. While being a pre-season game most of the drafted players were not there either due to being with their pro teams for their upcoming camps or playing in the Super Series, either way I wanted to go see a game, it has been way to long. Boston Bruins 5th round draft choice Denis Reul was playing in the game. Denis impressed me alot he is 6'4" and 204 defenceman that hits anything that moves in front of the net and along the boards. Denis assited on a goal and scored a goal with a nice blast from the point that trickled in. Late in the 3rd Denis dropped the gloves and pounded on one of the Titans players. If the Bruins brass can keep these prospects in the system and give them all the proper time to develope and not rush them up here, I truly beleive that they will be a force to be reckoned with. Just think if you are an opposing winger breaking down the side first you have deal with the 6'3" 220 pound Milan Lucic to deal with but if you are lucky enough to get by him you will have Reul waiting for you.
Let me also take this time to congratulate Milan on being named team captain of Canada in the Super Series vs Russia that starts tomorrow, this is a huge honor for any Canadian born player. Also on the team are Bruins prospects this years 8th over all pick Zach Hamill, and last years 3rd rounded Brad Marchard. Boston has the most prospects on the roster, makes you realize the amatuer scouting staff know what they are doing, Scott Bradley and your staff keep up the good work.
I would encourage any fans in the Boston area to take the ride up to Lewiston and see Denis and the rest of the Maineiacs in action. Tickets are roughly around $15 ea. for adults and unsure about kid prices. It is a great value and you get to see some exciting hockey.

Hey BB, excellent info. Now if the Bruins heirarchy keeps these prospects in their system, and as you said, gives them the time and environment to develope, I also think the future looks bright. Thanx for this.
