Until two exciting things will happen. Well, for me and the EA lovers also. My birthday falls on September 12th, but that's not what I think about this time of year. NHL 08 happens to have the release date of September 12th. So for me, it's kind of a birthday on top of another birthday, ya know?
Anyways, the Blue Jackets. Ohhh my, the good ol' Blue Jackets. I don't know where to start. I'll be in attendence with my good friend on opening night vs the Ducks, but what am I supposed to expect? I expect the playoffs. Bold statement, but I like it. If the players buy Hitchcock's system, we will do just fine. Once again, as I mentioned in my other blog, health issues. No excuse, because every team has them and has to fight through them. If the Blue Jackets stay healthy, we can beat the best teams in the league. Go ahead, laugh! Laugh some more! Meanwhile, back in January, we were down 3-0 to Anaheim on the road with 10 minutes left. I believe Klesla scored a goal around the 7 minute mark. So now, we are down 3-1 with about 4 minutes left and Klesla nets another, Modin stashes one, and Manny knocks in the winner. All of this happened in regulation. We beat Buffalo, 3-2 at Nationwide Arena. We have beaten Detroit, San Jose, Anaheim, not Nashville, and we even spanked Ottawa 6-2 last fall.
My point is, Columbus is very underrated. I'm not even being bias, but I think Columbus is easily one of the top 3 most underrated teams in the league. I think Florida is up there with us.
If I had one wish, I would wish for a healthy season for our main guys. Nash, Vyborny, LeClaire, etc. because if we get that, I can promise you and anyone else, whether is be Eklund, Lyle over at Spectors, the ESPN idiots errr "analysts" that we
WILL be in the playoff hunt.
That's about all for today. I haven't blogged in a while but to be honest I don't really have that much time. Between two jobs, school, and hockey up in Findlay, Ohio, I'm a busy kid
