That's it, I have had enough. I have had enough of Lindy complaining about the trap, enough about Garth saying they are working out their issues in practice (4 days off and they looked the same), enough about they would be a playoff team if they didn't hit the crossbar, enough about a turnaround is surely in the works ("look at the standings from last year and this year- a win streak is coming"
.
I am tired of saying for TWO years that the team needed more defense (why Zubrus?) trading Max and holding on to 48.
The time is now or never. Currently, the Sabres are 17 points behind the Sens but more importantly 10 points behind the Canadians. They have 4 games (2 against the Sens, 2 against the Habs)- that's 8 points. If they are going to make up any ground and get into the playoffs it HAS to start now. How many times have we seen them start off slow in October/November only to scrap for an 8th seed in April? Sure I got negative comments to my last blog arguing about this but I will still reiterate it here. If there is a turnaround it has to be now. 8 points, nothing less.
who was the Sabres fan who told me during the summer that Drew Stafford was going to score 60 goals this year?
Same here....No more excuses for these over paid over rated babies......Great question from jimbo83..I read that too and thought the person was on drugs or something. At the rate they are going we won't have a 20 goal sorer this year.....Thanks for the great team Larry and Darcy.....
remember when everyone else called your team cheap and frugal, and all sabre fans (or most) said you had great management and a great coach?
We have a second line centre you can have. He comes with a ten mil price tag but I heard he loves Buffalo.
Mayor- I will take anyone who can help turn this team around. There really is no tomorrow with these guys. This stretch against conference foes has been brutal. There has to be a turnaround now or it will be a wait till next year approach for me. As far as Stafford goes, I have been saying all along that this guy is the real deal. This year he has looked overmatched but there has been many players that have suffered through a sophomore slump and it looks like he is no different. He has great hands, great vision and pretty good NHL legs. I would keep him and trade 61 in a New York minute.
i don't see them winning any games until december. these november divisional games should have been played after the trade deadline. they would had more weight to them it seems like they are not being taken seriously by the players. the senators looked real slobbly last night i thought for sure they were going to blowout the sabres. but it the sabres almost looked like they did last year. they just are missing that finishing touch. the sabres will come around i just think it will be to late to make the playoffs and these games will be the nails in that coffin.
question for Quinn and Darcy: Has the sky fell yet?
we have one of the best coaches if not the best
