In my last review of how relocated teams' history is vanishing, I'm reviewing the remaining
Minnesota North Stars.
The North Stars are different than the former WHA franchises I've previously profiled, in that they had the longest history in the NHL before moving. As such, you'll see that there are few remaining players, but a larger Next Generation. Also, they're the last relocated NHL (non-WHA merger) franchise to have active players in the league: the
Atlanta Flames,
California Seals/Cleveland Barons, and
Kansas City Scouts/Colorado Rockies show no remaining on-ice participation.
And so...
Players
Derian Hatcher-PHI
Mike Modano-DAL (only remaining Dallas player to have been a North Star)
Richard Matvichuk-NJ
Note: again, the lists below are likely incomplete, offering an example of the off-ice roles former North Stars occupy. Additions are always welcome

Thanks for indulging me in this little exercise!
Dennis Maruk's mustache deserves a job in hockey at some level.
