Rico's back and Bodrov with the Flyers?

Eric Desjardins has returned to the Flyers after just retiring two seasons ago, not as a player this time, but a coach. "Rico" will be working as a part-time developmental coach. He is expected to work closely with the prospects during the 8-day rookie camp that opens this Friday. With a veteran presence helping the young defensemen the Flyers have like Sbisa and Bourdon, Rico should prove to be a valuable asset.

Denis Bodrov has been offered a contract from the Philadelphia Flyers. It is a reportedly a one-way contract but at the age of 22 isn't he forced to sign an entry level deal? The details are vague at the moment as the only source is a Russian site, but one thing is clear, Bodrov is a Flyer. He is expected to leave his team of Tolyatti Luda where he managed 21 points over three seasons in the low scoring league. Bodrov will report to training camp for September 14th up to October 8th and see where things go from there. Finally, the Flyers draft a Russian and the player comes over. Hopefully this will make the Flyers a little less scared of picking Russians in the future.
