Valterri Filppula's Contract and What It Means

I won't write what others have written about the Red Wings signing Valterri Filppula, however I will write about how much money he will will receive for the 5 year contract and what that means to some current Red Wings players.
Filppula's contract is:
2008-2009 $2 mil
2009-2010 $2.5 mil
2010-2013 $3.5 mil for the final three years
What this means is the Red Wings will have enough money next year to sign Zetterberg and Franzen. I don't believe that Chelios will play behond this season but you never know. I do think that a few players could get traded before the season starts. One person that may go is Mikael Samuelson. I think that Sammy could go because the Red Wings have Vielle Leino coming into camp. If Leino plays well in camp, then Sammy could be on his way out sooner that expected. Two other guys that could get traded are Andres Lilja and Kyle Quincey. Both of these defensemen could help teams out there. Both can play anywhere from a 6th to a 4th defensemen depending on the team. With the Red Wings wanting to sign McCarty, Downey, and Chelios, look for the three players mentioned to play for other teams by the start of the season.

i really hope they trade Lilja, when he's on the ice the puck winds up in the back of the net. I was crushed when the wings re-signed him. Also i was wondering with the stuart and Lilja signing where that left chelios? Chris is a stand up guy and i would hate to lose him.
